It's always sad when players leave the band, and in the last couple of weeks 2 players have decided to leave.

John Dunn, who has played 2nd Baritone for over 10 years has decided to retire, and Richard Payne, one of our percussionists, who joined the band following one of our Come and Try It sessions is leaving to take up a new job in Sussex. They take with them everyone's good wishes for the future.

However, we're also glad to welcome some new players. Lynda Quirk who used to play with Peel Salvation Army Kate Ronanband has joined on 2nd Horn.

Kate Ronan, who joined the Whit Friday band, has joined as a permanent member playing tuned percussion, and we've been able to welcome back Bhavika Patel on front row cornet.

Bhavika used to play in Bhavika Patelthe band and was taught by the late Major Tommy Thirtle. She is currently studying medicine at Leeds University and continues to play with the band during holidays.

We're also pleased to welcome Graeme Osborn back to help us out. Graeme is back from university and plays with Ramsey Town Band, but regularly comes along and helps us out.

If anyone else would like to join the band please get in touch with either Ian Astill, Simon Court or any other member of the band.
